Our Olive Branch

About Us

We created Our Olive Branch to be our peace offering to the world.

Opening

I’ve spent most of my career working inside organizations during periods of growth, change, and complexity.

In those environments, the challenge is rarely a single issue. More often, it’s a mix of unclear priorities, misaligned efforts, and systems or strategies that don’t quite fit how the organization actually operates.

From the outside, this can look like a marketing problem, a growth issue, or an operational gap.

In practice, it’s usually something quieter — a lack of clarity and alignment.

That’s the kind of work I’ve found myself drawn to over time.

Background

My work has taken place across growth-stage businesses, nonprofit organizations, industry associations, and public sector environments.

I’ve been part of building things from the ground up, steadying organizations during periods of uncertainty, and working alongside leadership teams navigating decisions that don’t have obvious answers. Some of that work has led to acquisition. Some of it has been quieter, but just as meaningful.

Earlier in my career, I was more directly involved in running things — managing teams, executing across operations, marketing, and technology, and carrying real financial accountability.

Over time, my role shifted.

Less doing everything. More helping leaders step back, see clearly, and move forward with confidence.

We created Our Olive Branch to be our peace offering to the world. We wanted to dedicate our time, energy, and talents to making the world a better place. This has translated to our mission of empowering individuals and organizations to evolve and realize sustainable growth and success.

We are committed to helping our clients thrive by delivering customized solutions that meet their unique needs and challenges. We strive to cultivate long-lasting relationships built on trust, respect, and collaboration with our clients, partners, and communities.

Through our various services, we aim to make a meaningful and positive impact on people’s lives and the world around us. We hope you will allow us to be a catalyst for growth and transformation for you.

Public service

I currently serve as a City Councilmember in Duvall, Washington.

That experience has reinforced something I’ve come to believe across every setting I’ve worked in:

Clear thinking, honest communication, and disciplined process tend to produce better outcomes than speed, pressure, or force of will.

Public service has also deepened my appreciation for how decisions are actually made — often with incomplete information, competing perspectives, and real consequences for people’s lives.

It’s a different kind of accountability, and it continues to shape how I approach my work.

Why Our Olive Branch

The name reflects how I think about the role I play.

Many of the situations I step into involve some form of tension — competing priorities, different perspectives, or pressure to act before things are fully understood.

I don’t see my role as adding more ideas or more noise.

It’s to help create the conditions where clearer thinking becomes possible again — and where decisions can be made from a more grounded place.

At the same time, Our Olive Branch reflects something broader than just my work.

Amy’s work in health, education, and community-based support — and our shared commitment to service — has shaped that perspective in important ways. It continues to influence how we think about care, responsibility, and the kind of impact we hope to have.

Credentials

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Magna Cum Laude, from Florida International University — Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society — with earlier studies in Religious Studies at Indiana University.

I’m a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and have held certifications in bookkeeping, social media marketing, and search engine optimization.

I’ve also served on governance and advisory boards for organizations working in STEM and aviation education, youth entrepreneurship, childhood health, affordable housing, and the arts.

Writing

I write at AdamOlen.com — reflections on leadership, civic life, books I’m reading, and an ongoing practice log from a year-long leadership development program.

If you want a clearer sense of how I think, that’s probably the most direct place to start.
